I didn't believe a Figma-like canvas for AI agents would work. Then I used it every day for a month and couldn't go back.

How it started

My friend Souren built the first version of AgentGrid to scale his own development on an AI trading platform. He showed it to me early. I was skeptical — a big infinite canvas where you run agents on panes? Sounded like a gimmick. I'd seen plenty of "visual node" tools that looked impressive in a demo and fell apart under real work.

About a month later he convinced me to give it a serious try.

The unlock

Two things won me over.

Persistent sessions. AgentGrid saves sessions to disk, and everything around a session — images, notes, research pages, browser pages — lives on the same canvas together. You don't lose context when you close your laptop. You come back to the exact board with the exact agents mid-thought. That sounds small until you've lived without it.

Switching between projects. I work on a lot of things. With a terminal-only workflow, juggling three agents across three repos meant three tmux sessions, three directories, no shared context. On a canvas it's just… there. Drag a pane, spawn another, keep going.

I 3x'd my productivity within the first 30 days. (I also broke AgentGrid a few times — early-adopter tax. Souren was very patient.)

The real tell: when AgentGrid was down during development for up to ~12 hours a day, going back to the old terminal-only workflow was miserable. I hated it. That's when I knew we had something.

So I started working on it full-time with Souren. We kept wanting more features, and we kept wanting to make it a great product.

What it is now

AgentGrid — an infinite canvas for AI coding agents. Run agents, pin notes, open browsers, drop in research — all on one persistent board.

We launched on Product Hunt mid-July 2026. ~600 users to date. Since then the pace has been fast:

• 9 harnesses — Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Antigravity, Kimi, Grok, Devin, Cursor, and Pi. Bring whichever agent fits the task.
• Usage orchestration views across models and harnesses — see what's running where, and steer it.
• An engaged Discord community (~100 members) with ideas coming in daily.
